ELLIE LAWRENCE
Ellie is an experienced business owner and non-executive director with a strong focus on corporate governance.

Ellie began her career in the finance industry, and following a break in her career to focus on raising her three children, she returned to the workplace in 2017, providing company secretarial and governance services predominantly to the third sector.
Having initially worked for, and subsequently acquired FWS Ltd, Ellie has grown the business substantially and is recognised as one of Guernsey’s leading businesswomen. Ellie is regularly called upon to provide advice and consultancy services to a wide range of firms, charities and committees and is a valued contributor to local business fora.

In tandem with running her business and her family, Ellie holds a number of board positions in her capacity as both a director and non-executive director.

Homelife is busy with a husband, 3 children, 1 dog and 5 chickens to cater for. She enjoys volunteer work, particularly around mental health awareness and children's wellbeing. She will also happily chew your ear off about her other favourite topic - the vital part women play in society and combatting gender imbalance in the workplace. If Ellie gets any downtime you might find her taking in Guernsey's coastal cliff paths or planning the family’s next adventure.
CLAIRE WAKEFIELD
Claire joined the FWS team in September 2020.
She has worked as a Personal Assistant for the last 26 years, a position which has honed her organisational skills and her ability to multitask alongside meticulous attention to detail.

With a varied career background ranging from the management of staff whilst running a small family business to experience in general and compliance administration within the local Trust sector. Claire now has a focus on great PR, marketing, sponsorship strategies, successful communication and valued client relations.

Claire has a passion for event management and fund-raising.
For the last 17 years she has been involved in supporting the third sector in Guernsey. She is one half of a team that has staged a series of annual events over the past 10 years which have become much anticipated and have to date, raised over £125,000 for local charities and is a Director of the Guernsey Child Contact Centre.

Claire juggles work with a busy home life. She has 3 teenage children who are all very active and have inherited her sense of adventure and wanderlust! They love to spend time outdoors, especially in the water whether surfing or year-round sea swimming. Travel is also an important part of family life, enjoying trips to the snow and experiencing diverse cultures together when they can.
